Chemex and Hario Brewing Method
- Just before brewing, Ground coffee beans to medium or coarse Grind.
- Rinse pot with hot water to preheat
- Rinse filter with a little bit of hot water
- Put coffee ground into the filter (2 Tbsp per 6 oz of water)
- Boil water and the water temperature at the time of contact with the coffee should be around 200°F (93.0°C) plus or minus 5°.
- Add enough boiling water to saturates the ground
- Wait for 45 seconds
- After 45 sec. start adding gradually the rest of boiling water and let it drain into the pot
- Discard/remove the filter and serve to enjoy
- Avoid reheating coffee as it will dull the flavor. You can transfer the coffee to a thermos.
