Turkish Coffee Brewing Method

Recipe

  • Just before brewing, ground medium roast coffee beans to ultra-fine (consistency of flour).
  • Put Two(2) heaping tea-spoons coffee ground into the pot.
  • Optional: add 2 tea-spoons of sugar and or 1/2 tea-spoon of ground cardamom for flavor.
  • Add 160ml (5.4 oz) of room temp water (2 full espresso sized-cups)
  • Stir content lightly (don’t overmix).
  • Place pot on the stove with low-medium heat.
  • Do NOT stir once on heat.
  • After a few minutes, it’ll come to boil. Here is the time to give it a one gentle shake/wiggle to form the foam/creama.
  • You’ll see little bubbles appear on the borders inside the pot, when they start moving towards the center, turn-off the heat.
  • Pour the liquid into the cups and share the foam/creama equally.
  • Serve with a glass of water and Turkish delights or some kind of sweets to enjoy
